AUDIO: PRA’s Jay Michaelson Discusses “Religious Liberty” on NPR

Jay Michaelson, author of Political Research Associates’ report Redefining Religious Liberty: The Covert Campaign Against Civil Rights, joined NPR’s All Things Considered program over the weekend to discuss the Right’s claim that individuals’ religious liberty is being threatened by not being allowed to discriminate against same-sex couples.

The Religious Right has been waging a highly-successful PR campaign to completely redefine the meaning of “Religious Liberty” for Americans, shifting away from the basis of the First Amendment, which guarantees the free practice of religions themselves, and redefining certain religious individuals as the victims for not being allowed to use their religious beliefs as a basis for discrimination in non-religious commercial settings.
